Dear camping friends and family,

It is with great sadness today to be writing this letter. We received word this morning, that Paul Sullivan passed away around 7AM. At this time funeral arrangements are incomplete. He is at Mount Moriah in Liberty. Paul had reach the age of 73. He and Rosie were charter members of the Roddy's Rowdy's since April 1974. Paul was known to be a little mischievous, but was always there to help out. You could always count on Paul to be there to keep score for the horseshoe games at our State Rallies. He enjoyed camping with many of his friends up until about a year ago when he developed health problems. We will miss him! Our prayers and deepest sympathy are with Rosie and her family. Paul is now --- "CAMPING WITH THE LORD"

Thanks again to Thelma Conrad, Glen & Beverly Fangmann for opening up their home for the Club to come and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of Christmas celebration. David Francis' expertise of smoking turkeys was appreciated once again. We had six members present along with 4 guest. In our short meeting we discussed the upcoming fund raiser, raffling off a quarter of a beef. Jerry Hunter was asked to design a ticket for us, which will be sold $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. It was also discussed as to what we would like to have as a Club raffle for the State Rally this year, this was tabled for further discussion. Thelma Conrad suggested raising the amount allowed for flowers. It was voted to be raised to $50 for funeral (flowers or memorials) and $30 for hospitalization. The Vonderschmidt's were hosting the soup & sandwich gathering in February. Due to their schedule they asked if this could be changed to January. The Club will be going to Falls City, January 15th. Soups & chili will be provided. Needed is--meat sandwiches, fresh veggies, snack foods and desserts. We will be eating at 5 PM. The Vonderschmidt's have extended an invitation to come early and stay late. There are a couple of bed & breakfast and a motel. Of course there is always the camp grounds if you would like to bring your unit. Madalyne is going to have a talk with Mother Nature for nice weather next week end. Keep your fingers crossed. But keep in mind we're talking about Nebraska, aren't we. J February 19th the Club will be going to the Steamboat Arabia & dinner. We will be finalizing these plans at our January meeting in Nebraska.

Don't forget the R V show at Bartle Hall, February 23--27th. Give Jim a call if anyone can help pull in or out for the show. 816-356-1952
